Today, you will take a day trip to Tiébélé. This village is famous for its Kassena architecture. You will see the decorated houses. You will learn about the local culture and traditions. You will return to Hôtel Palm Beach in Ouagadougou for the night.

Travel to Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso’s second-largest city. En route, stop at the sacred crocodile pond in Bazoulé, where crocodiles live in harmony with the villagers. Continue through changing savannah landscapes before reaching Bobo by evening.

Spend the day exploring Bobo’s historic heart. Visit the Grand Mosque, a striking example of Sudano-Sahelian architecture. Walk through Dioulassoba, the old quarter with its adobe houses, and stop at Midi colonial-era train station for lunch. In the afternoon, attend a performance at the Festival des Masques — a vivid display of traditional masked dances and music.

This morning, visit the nearby village of Koumi, known for its stone architecture and artisanal traditions. Return to Bobo by mid-morning to attend more festivities at the Festival des Masques. The afternoon brings further dance performances, where communities share their heritage through costume, rhythm, and storytelling.

Today is a full-day excursion to the Banfora region. We travel from Bobo-Dioulasso to Banfora. You visit the natural rock formations of Fabedougou and nearby waterfalls, known as Les Cascades. You also take a pirogue ride on Lake Tengréla, home to hippos. After these activities, we travel back to Bobo-Dioulasso. You stay the night in Bobo-Dioulasso.

Today, we travel from Bobo-Dioulasso back to Ouagadougou. This will be a travel day to return to the capital city. You stay the night at a hotel in Ouagadougou.

After breakfast, we arrange your transfer to Ouagadougou airport for your flight home. You leave Burkina Faso with many memories from the Mask Festival. You also have an additional option to spend the night in Ouagadougou and celebrate New Year’s.
