Now seems a good time to reintroduce myself. I’m Habeeb, born in Uganda, and deeply connected to the African continent. I’m also the founder of Beebs Tours, for those who are new here. My ties to Africa have been shaped by years of travel, missed flights, complicated border crossings, and the friendships I’ve made along the way. I want to share some of that personal journey and why Africa is at the core of what I do.
The “54 by 54” Goal
My main personal aim is to have visited all 54 countries in Africa before I reach the age of 54; at the moment I’ve visited 19, but that figure is going to go up since next year is going to be one of my more active years, and I’m going to be inviting you to take part. Since traveling in Africa can be unpredictable, I turn to bodybuilding—not only because of the physical difficulty but also since it keeps me stable both mentally and emotionally in the face of all the turmoil and excitement. What keeps me hooked is the feeling of stepping into the unknown—finding new places, meeting new people, and having experiences I never could have planned for.

Why does Beebs Tours even exist?
Simple: I wanted to show the Africa I know—the one with all its quirks, messiness, and magic. Getting this far meant hustling through endless African airports (where your bag might show up… or might not), laughing with border guards, and occasionally arguing in three languages just to get a stamp. I’ve stood in the Danakil Depression (the hottest, weirdest place on earth), swam at the literal edge of Victoria Falls, and had my mind blown by the gorillas in Uganda.
Every challenge and every wild story is what makes Beebs Tours possible—and fun. And all of that—the chaos, the beauty, the unpredictability—is what inspired me to start Beebs Tours.

A Tight-Knit Family

There’s no easy way of setting up a tour business that functions properly all over Africa. You’ve got to have determination, a sense of humor, and a great deal of patience. At the core of Beebs Tours isn’t the website or the itineraries—but the number of years we’ve spent building up genuine relationships with people working on the ground. A few of you may already know these individuals; you’ve probably shared jokes and stories with them, and maybe even put up with a flat tire. The people I work with down on the ground are the essential part of each and every trip.
Over the years, many of them have become like family to us—getting together for meals, exchanging stories, and dealing with the kind of chaos that’s part of traveling in this area. When you travel with me, you’re treated as one of us from the very first day.
Where do we actually go?
Beebs Tours covers a real mix—classic safari spots like Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa, plus less-traveled places that surprise even seasoned travelers. Some trips are for those who want rough roads, bush camps, and the thrill of tough travel. Others are all about comfort: ultra-luxury lodges, private chefs, and five-star treatment from start to finish. Sometimes, you get both on the same adventure.
Whether you’re in it for the grit, the glamour, or a bit of both, we build every journey around showing you a side of Africa that most people never get to see.

Looking ahead, the coming year is going to be our most ambitious yet. I’ll be adding new countries to my list, and many of you will be joining for the ride—whether you’re into group adventures, private journeys, or something in between.
For those who’ve traveled with us before, you already know the sense of community that forms on these trips. For the newcomers, I’m excited to welcome you into this growing Beebs Tours family. Here’s to more memories, new faces, and another year of exploring Africa—together.
