We have an early start today at 06:00am with a cup of coffee and embark on a morning safari game drive. Experience exciting game drives and feel awed by the beauty of Africa on this drive as you marvel at the beautiful reflection of the sun rays as you peacefully maneuver through the Chobe National Park observing large herds of elephants which are frequently seen walking to and from the river. Due to the high density of herbivores in this area, many predators such as lions and leopards can be found.
Chobe National Park is known for its large herds of elephants and Cape buffalo, which converge along the
Chobe Riverfront in the dry months. Lions, antelopes and hippos inhabit the woods and lagoons around
Chobe Marsh. The floodable grasslands attract numerous bird species, plus migrating zebras.
After a morning game drive of the Chobe National Park, we’ll take a 3-hour drive to Elephant Sands stopping over for lunch. Elephant Sands offers the pleasure of observing herds of elephants along the shores of the water hole—bathing, drinking, playing and cajoling. Elephant Sands is a tented campsite which gives you the opportunity to experience Africa for Africa. We’ll arrive at our lodge late in the afternoon with little to do than relax before dinner and sleep in preparation for the Maun treat the following morning.

In late afternoon after the game drive we get to relax, have dinner and prepare for departure to Maun on the next day.
Meal plan: lunch and dinner

Departure to Maun soon after breakfast at 10:00 am, of which we will arrive around 1:00 pm, just in time for lunch, and to refresh at Maun Cresta Lodge as we get ready to go for an optional activity, a scenic flight at the Maun International Airport.
The scenic flights are one hour long, and they offer passengers the opportunity to discover the lush surroundings of the Okavango Delta by air. Not only will flyers witness the magnificent scenery of the area, but they’ll also have a high chance of spotting wildlife.
As the flight is only about 500ft (152.4m) off the ground, passengers may be treated to views of large fields of buffalo, roaming elephants, a journey of giraffe, and wallowing hippos. The wild is unpredictable, and no flight is the same; therefore, this creates excitement and anticipation as flyers never know what they’re going to see.
Today, our activity is the Okavango Delta Mokoro day trip, which offers the exploration of the famed Okavango Delta by Mokoro, a traditional dugout canoe. The trip starts at around 09:00 in the morning from the Mokoro boat station, where you will meet your Mokoro poler who will take you gliding past the islands that dot the delta and the surrounding channels for a unique experience that sets you amongst nature. The trip will lead through the Okavango Delta, where it neighbours the Moremi Game Reserve. In this scenic and wildlife-rich area, you will be able to view various game drawn to the live-giving waters until 16:30 hours.

The safari offers opportunities to see elephants, lions, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, as well as a variety of bird species. The Chobe Riverfront and Okavango Delta are famous for high concentrations of wildlife.
The best time is during the dry season (May to October) when wildlife gathers near water sources, making game viewing exceptional. However, the green season also offers beautiful landscapes and excellent birdwatching.
We recommend lightweight, neutral-colored clothing, comfortable walking shoes, a warm layer for early mornings and evenings, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, personal toiletries, and a camera/binoculars for game viewing. A packing checklist can be provided upon booking.
You should pack lightweight and breathable cotton clothing for the tropical climate. Pack a pair of sturdy walking shoes for forest treks and city tours. Bring a hat and sunglasses to protect you from the sun.
